Psalms 27: 14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
[2] Impatience: This one is huge, for persons often think that God is taking too long, and rather than wait for an unspecified period of time, folks would resort to plan B which almost always causes trouble. When waiting in expectation of a blessing, we must be careful not to box God into the timelines that we may stipulate. The blessing is often right around the corner from impatience, and thus, even though we may have finite deadlines, we shouldn’t try to force God into our time frames.
Speaking of the issue of trying to force God, there is a word of caution to be uttered as it pertains to the disposition that has now surfaced in contemporary Christianity, and that is the tendency to try to bully God into blessing you. Try not to do this please, for in most cases you will go away emptyhanded.
It takes a tremendous amount of self-control for us to wait for the fulness of time, however, we should bear in mind that The Lord is never late, and He is never early. At the precise time He will do whatever He has promised. The Christian just has to wait for it.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
