Trapped In 666. Part [16] 06/09/2024 Morning thought)

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Thus, the instances in our experiences when we are led to trust in God alone, without any human aid, or material props, should be greatly treasured, and not looked upon as a negative, because we would need a living, breathing experience with The Lord to avoid being trapped in 666.

God understands that the home is in most cases our largest investment, and material asset, and He also understands in most cases, that the effort to pay for it could truly be a great struggle, even though doing so should not be our highest aim in life. Yet when the time comes for us to leave it all behind He would have us understand that we would be in a transitioning phase, from this world to the next, and as such, the material possessions of this life will no longer be needed.

More than this, our love for God should at all times take priority over our love for the gifts He bestows, and thus, when we cultivate this perspective, it will become much easier to surrender all, in the most literal sense, rather than becoming being trapped in 666. In harmony with this truth, we’ll end with a passage of scripture that should help us to hold all material possessions, including our homes, in a subordinate manner, keeping the fact that we are just pilgrims, always in view, while we are learning to trust in God for everything.

1st John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abides forever.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
