The Spirit Of Unbelief. Part [15] 07/08/2021 (Evening thought)

Joel 3:15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. 16 The Lord also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the Lord will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

We are facing momentous times, and it may be that our faith in God will include experiences for which there are no precedents. Yet, through it all, The Lord wants us to cultivate a believing attitude, a cheerful spirit that is cognizant of the dangers, but which focuses much more on God’s power to save, and on the brighter side of the equation.

Dwelling in negatives, be they real or phantom, does no one any good, for there is not one instance in which worrying over problems ever made a situation better. It is true that at times careful thought and consideration must be given to a particular situation, but we must lean that important lesson of taking such issues to Christ, and leaving them there.

Let us therefore encourage a living faith that takes hold of omnipotence, and unseen realities, for the just shall live by faith, not by scientific research, and secular philosophies which often tend to limit God. In this world we will have tribulation, and this applies across the board to every person, whether one believes in Christ or not. However, the promises and assurances from God are given to His people to mitigate risks and real dangers, whenever and wherever they may occur.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
