Judges 7:7 And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place.
There are very serious and important lessons for us in our day, who, like Gideon, and the faithful 300, are expecting a blessing, even at a time when it may seem that the enemies of truth and righteousness may overwhelm. Whatever God has promised, and whatsoever may be our expectation from Him, it’s important that we not be distracted by the confused noise that is now enveloping the earth.
The Lord has promised the latter rain near the close of earth’s history, and everyone who knows what is coming must be positioning themselves intelligently so as to exercise an intelligent faith. Like Gideon, we should be cognizant of the facts on the ground; and yes, we must be aware that final movements will be rapid ones, yet we must be dead focused on the mission, and not allow our faith to grow dim.
God will deliver in His own time and way, and to our finite minds it might seem as if He is taking a route that is not aligned with logic. But just as it was with Gideon, and the 300 men, we could, and should still expect a blessing, for Jesus will do just as He has promised. The messages which God has given us through His servants the prophets, for such a time as this, are meant to prepare us spiritually, mentally and where possible, physically for what’s ahead.
Isaiah 33:16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks: bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure. 17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is very far off.
May God add His blessing to the study of His word. “Good night” and God bless!
