The Latter Rain Mindset. Part [5] 02/19/2025 (Morning thought)

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, You men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words. 36 Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Note well, that Peter does not mention anything about the Sabbath, or the commandments of God, for at the time of the early rain, no one questioned whether the Sabbath, or the laws of God were valid, and therefore, those items were strategically left off of the menu, as being not necessary to focus on at that time. The Holy Spirit instead moves upon the disciples to deal with the elephant in the room, which was the acceptance of Jesus Christ of Nazareth as being The One who was sent by God for the salvation of all. In other words, Christ was now to be certified in the minds of the people as The Redeemer.

Acts 3:25 You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. 26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
