Babylon’s Legislative Agenda. Part [8] 9/01/2024 (Morning thought)

Daniel 6:14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him. 15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians is, that no decree nor statute which the king established might be changed.

Here is the same thing happening again, when king Nebuchadnezzar determines that he would force his brand of worship on the people under his rule. He is not going to merely ask them to agree with him, but rather he reaches for the force of the judicial branch of which the highest authority is himself.

Thus, he puts bitter for sweet and evil instead of the good, as he makes it a crime to refuse to bow down, and therefore, anyone who may beg to differ would consequently be in violation, and thereby, will open themselves up to prosecution, under the laws of the land.

Daniel 3: 2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Daniel 6:3 Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
