Make Us a King. Part [10] 07/26/2024 (Morning thought)

1st Samuel 8: 18 And you shall cry out in that day because of your king which you shall have chosen you; and the Lord will not hear you in that day. 19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, No; but we will have a king over us; 22 And the Lord said unto Samuel hearken unto their voice and make them a king ….

In the prophecy of Daniel it is predicted that a king of fierce countenance will arise in the latter times, a reference to both pagan and papal Rome after the division of the kingdom of Alexander the great, and that kingdom would employ the two-tiered system of justice. There is something that is very disturbing, written in the 13th chapter of Revelation, where the lamb-like beast is scheduled to exercise authority like a king. It may not be readily apparent, but if you were to read your Bible very slowly with the understanding, it will become as clear as crystal.

Daniel 8: 23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. 24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

Revelation 13:11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke as a dragon. 12 And he exercises all the power of the first beast before him, and causes the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

Revelation 13:And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
