The Biblical Way To Deal With Depression. Part [10] 10/06/2024 (Morning thought)

1st Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Several passages in the Scripture point unmistakably to a day when the here and now will give way to the great hereafter and this blessed hope in Christ is the key that keeps Job chugging along. The Christian in our day who may be going through a rough patch, who is facing mounting difficulties, or dealing with illness, debt, loss of family members, or depression in one form or another must seek for the Biblical solutions first and foremost, so that results would be in harmony with the blessed hope.

Hebrews 11: 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Job 2:13 So they sat down with him upon the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word unto him: for they saw that his grief was very great.

May the Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
