Psalms 100:Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
Is it still a joy to serve God, or do we go through the motions just because it is the right thing to do? Do we take pleasure in seeking His face, with that same yearning and expectancy, which had characterized our earlier experiences when we were just baptized, or has the Christian experience become devoid of joy and service?
Serving God must be done not only with a willing heart and mind, but also with joy, for anything short of this becomes legalism. These are just some of the questions we will have to ask ourselves as we consider the prospect that the True Witness of Revelation chapter 3 might actually be speaking to you and me personally.
Thus, we will end with a passage of scripture which would encourage us to repent wherever necessary, so that an upward trajectory would be our very own experience each day.
2nd Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue. 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
