Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Financial planners seem to be oblivious of the growing threats spoken about in God’s word, that are scheduled to characterize the last days, in which we are now living. The very same attitude was true of the Antediluvians in Noah’s day, who, in spite of listening to his sermons, went right ahead with their financial plans for the future, just as if he had not spoken.
Even when they saw with their own two eyes, the unexplainable phenomena of the animals walking quietly into the ark, two by two and seven by seven, there was no change whatsoever in their planning, advice, or outlook. With Noah’s prophecy fresh in their minds and with lower lifeforms heading into the vessel, seemingly unprovoked, the Antediluvians continued to look forward to, and plan for a brighter day.
[Patriarchs And Prophets pp 97] They manifested their contempt for the warning of God by doing just as they had done before the warning was given. They ate and drank, planted and built, laying their plans in reference to advantages they hoped to gain in the future.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
