2nd Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.
In our day currently, it is of grave concern that the tendency to deliberately believe lies and conspiracy theories, is damaging the minds of millions beyond repair, and if we think that such a situation will not affect us in adverse ways, we’ll need to think again, for that spirit of unbelief never remains dormant for too long.
As it was in days of old, the disposition to embrace falsehood morphs into something more ominous, taking more people into the snare, until, at some opportune moment, it spills over, and does great, irreparable harm, not only to the adherents, but it also often produces collateral damage in persons who may not have been directly involved.
If persons continue to deny the truth and the facts, it will inevitably lead to a grave national disturbance the likes of which we have never seen. And those of us who are not rooted in Christ and the truth could be swept away, with the incoming tsunami of error. The national intransigence which we are currently witnessing will not remain at this level forever, for we are headed for a downward spiral that would cause a national upheaval, if we are not pulled back from the brink, by folks tracking a different course.
Daniel 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
