Deuteronomy 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. 40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, forever.
The fact of the matter is that laws are the means by which true liberty is protected, for wherever God’s law is made void in the hearts and minds of people, the inevitable result will be social chaos and unrest, such as took place in France, after that nation had burned the Bible publicly and instead, installed the goddess of reason.
Every law and every commandment that’s given in the Bible was given with our best interest in mind, and every departure from it is written will inevitably work ruin to those who choose to go that route. The God-given freedom of choice is actually the fulcrum upon which our destiny swings towards eternal life, or eternal death. The choice is ours.
In addition to this, those who use their freedom of choice to take unwarranted liberties will soon discover that the way of the transgressor is hard. Every spiritual law of sowing and reaping, that is found in the Bible comes to fruition like clockwork, and sooner or later the natural consequences of us choosing either good or evil will be fulfilled.
Deuteronomy 28:15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. 46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. “God bless!
