Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Let us therefore zip up our boots, and do that which has too long been neglected. Let all the families and individuals seek God earnestly each day for grace to help in time of need, so that we can live victoriously on a continuum. Those things which consume valuable amounts of time, while our devotions to God, and the hour of prayer sit on the back burner, are to be routed to a subservient place on our totem poles.
In this way, our relationship with God, which is what matters most, may not suffer violence and neglect because of our mixed-up priorities. The hum drum of life can run riot in our lives if permitted to be the most important issue we concern ourselves with. Let quality time be put aside for prayer and the study of God’s word each day, so that we may be fortified against internal and external foes.
We therefore end with a passage of scripture that should keep us in step, and in tune with the urgency of the moment, and may God help all of those who will take up the mantle of service and godliness in every area of our lives, because the time is now and the place is here.
Romans 13:11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
