Deuteronomy 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; 27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day: 28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.
The issue of our personal health and well-being, should not be a matter left for the Feds to settle, but as much as we can, we should take responsibility for our choices, and the accompanying results. The following important points are submitted for our consideration, as we address the issue of health moving forward.
God much more prefers His people to be in perfect health, for the tenure of our service can be greatly extended, and The Lord can use us to do much more work in His vineyard, than if we were bogged down with health issues. [1] Banning certain junk foods from the market will not remedy the problem, because the core issue is our freedom to choose, not the myriad of products on display at restaurants, and at supermarkets.
The feds cannot be expected to ban hot dogs, French fries, sodas, or rare steak, for this will constitute the use of force, which will contrary to God’s kingdom. It is left with us to choose, whether we will follow the dietary laws and principles given in God’s word, or whether we will use our freedom to disobey.
Deuteronomy 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. 40 Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, forever.
May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
