"And God Saw"- The Doctrine Of Final Inspection. 03/04/2015 (Evening thought)

Genesis 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.  27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.  31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

This passage of scripture teaches us the doctrine of final inspection after God does any and everything. God is perfectly thorough in all of His ways, and does nothing in a careless or haphazard manner without first thinking matters through to their very end. And even after this is done He inspects His work before placing His seal of approval on it, thereby holding Himself to the very highest standard possible. For instance, after Adam was created, he was given the task of naming all the animals which God had created, and in so doing he observed that there were companions for each of them, but for him there was none. God then said it is not good for the man to be alone, and He made him an help meet, in the form of Eve. This however was not an after-thought on God's part, but rather the final piece of the great puzzle, that was pre- planned in ages past. Let's read:

Genesis 2:20  And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.  21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;  22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.  23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

It is imperative that as Christians we adopt the methods and ways of The Most High in all that we do, including the final inspection of all work that is done with our hands and minds. This is especially important since we are fallen and imperfect, therefore after finishing any project, test, or thesis, we should take some time to closely inspect the work we have done to see if there were any errors or mistakes made, for if God does it for all His work, we who are finite should also follow in His footsteps.

But the doctrine of final inspection is not relegated to God's creative works only, but it also applies to the work of the judgment which will close off human probation. In the parable of the wedding feast, Christ invited many guests and provided robes for each one to wear, and as the guests passed through the door a warm welcome was given to each individual. But upon close inspection it was observed that there was a man who did not have on the appropriate attire, and therefore he was called to account as to why the stipulations for the dress code were not followed. At this investigation the man was found speechless, for there was no reasonable explanation he could give, and thus was removed from the banquet, for all that God does must of necessity bear the perfect stamp of approval. Let's read:

Matthew 22:8  Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready" ......  9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.  10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.  11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:  12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.  13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

It is in this life that we are to make good on the golden opportunity God has granted us to be saved in His kingdom, but He would have us understand that a straight and narrow path has already been marked out for those of us desiring admittance, and thus, all of the instructions He has given must be followed to the "T", with no variations, alterations, or changes whatever. Many of us do not understand the doctrine of final inspections, and for this reason many of us Christians have erroneously concluded that some way, somehow, we will be able to slip by the pearly gates, and end up in heaven without God knowing that we had not obeyed the plain commands given in the wedding manual, the Bible. When asked a direct question by the rich young ruler, about what must be done to obtain entrance into the abode of bliss, Christ responded by saying the commandments of God must be kept. Let's read:

Matthew 19:16  And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?  17 And he said unto him" ....  "if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.  18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,  19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

But in our day the very words of Christ are now being held as irrelevant and obsolete by many Christians, for many now hold the erroneous doctrine that the ten commandments were intended for the Jews only, and do not pertain to those of us who believe in Christ. But throughout the pages of Holy writ, the same stipulation is made over and over again, so that there may be no misgivings as to what the Lord of the wedding expects. And whether we believe it or not, the doctrine of final inspection will once again be applied to everyone who desires eternal life, for none will be granted admittance to God's kingdom without first passing the closest scrutiny by God.

We therefore end with a passage of scripture which reiterates this very important point, and it is the will of God that we now submit ourselves to Him, so that any necessary changes and reforms can be instituted before the final banquet begins. Let's read:

Revelation 22:12  And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.  14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.  15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.  16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches" ....  17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

May God add His blessing to the study and practice of His word. "Good night" and God bless!
