Understanding The Circumstantial Will Of God. 10/27/2015 (Morning thought)

Deuteronomy 12:20 When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after. 21 "Then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the Lord hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.

This passage of scripture teaches us the solemn truth that if we insist on having something, God may eventually grant it unto us, even though He knows that it may cause us great harm. In the days of the ancient Hebrews, God had plainly shown by His providence that the eating of flesh foods was not the best diet for anyone, including His own people, and in harmony with His great principle of love, He withheld these articles of food from them. But after crying in the doors of their tents, and after complaining of the healthy diet that was afforded them, then God reluctantly granted them permission to eat flesh, albeit with the dire consequences that would follow, for if God sees fit to restrain us from having something, it automatically means that it is not for our best good. Let's read:

Psalm 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

The diseases and problems that would accrue because of the flesh diet, was in olden days largely unknown, and because the science and knowledge was not readily available, very many people were coming down with all types of diseases, sicknesses, and ailments, for which the doctors back then had very little cures. Hence the reason why when Christ arrived on the scene during His incarnation, so many people used to flock to Him, because satan was making havoc of the health of individuals, just as it is today. Let's read:

Matthew 4:23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

The World health organization has just released an alarming study, warning the inhabitants of earth that flesh foods cause multiple cancers, whether the meat is processed or not, and what is pretty scary about the report is that it has taken mankind several thousand years to come to the same conclusion as when God prohibited the eating of flesh anciently. The real question to be answered is whether we will now believe the world health organization, now that they have corroborated what God has been saying all along, or whether, like the meat industry is doing currently, we will murmur, complain, or even try to stone the W.H.O, as the Hebrews tried to do on several occasions with Moses. Let's read:

(CNN)The World Health Organisation (WHO) released a report Monday which placed processed meats, including bacon and sausages, in the same category as smoking and asbestos for causing cancer. The report revealed that as little as two slices of bacon can increase the risk of colorectal (bowel) cancer by 18%. The WHO's cancer research unit now classifies processed meat as "carcinogenic to humans" based on evidence from hundreds of studies, and linked it specifically to colon, or colorectal, cancer. The organization defines processed meat as any type of meat that is salted, cured or smoked to enhance its flavor or preserve it. Processed meat generally contains pork or beef, but may also contain poultry.

What is ironical about this report, is that the servant of God had already written extensively about the dangers of eating flesh foods, and she outlined the many adverse effects, including cancer, many many years ago, in the 18th century. But because she did not have a background in science, nor was she a board-certified dietitian, many were, and still are reluctant to take heed, and because of our hesitation to believe and act upon God-given knowledge, many millions of lives have been lost to cancers and other diseases, caused directly from the eating of flesh, though many in the meat industry will try to deny the fact. Let's read:

[Medical Ministry pp. 278]  Cancers, tumors, and all inflammatory diseases are largely caused by meat eating. From the light God has given me, the prevalence of cancers and tumors is largely due to gross living on dead flesh.  The mortality caused by meat eating is not discerned; if it were, we would hear no more arguments and excuses in favor of the indulgence of the appetite for dead flesh.

God has been taking the human family from Eden lost, to Eden restored, and even though along the way, His circumstantial will permitted us to have what was never in our best interest, yet it is His steadfast purpose to bring us back to His ideal will for healthful living, for it was never His purpose that His people be bogged down with diseases of all kinds, just like those who did not know or honor Him. We therefore end with a passage of scripture which asks a rhetorical question, that only we can answered individually, and as we do, may our answers be in harmony with God's ideal will, not His circumstantial will. Let's read:

Jeremiah 8:21 For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt"... "astonishment hath taken hold on me. 22 Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

May the Lord add His blessing to the study and practice of His every word. God bless!
