To The Jews Who Will Be Grafted Back In. 10/20/2015 (Morning thought)

Romans 11:19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again.

This passage of scripture teaches us the sacred truth that the Jews who might have wandered far from the covenant blessings of God's salvation through Christ, can and will be grafted back in again, if ever they were to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of their lives. And although as a nation, the Jewish people have generally denied the divinity of Jesus Christ, yet we should also understand that it was particularly difficult for many of them to do so, seeing that the false interpretation of the prophecies of the old Testament prophets, on the part of the religious leaders, had indeed paved the way for Christ not to be recognized. In fact this deep seated belief, that Christ would reign as king in Jerusalem, is what was driving the striving for the highest place among the disciples, for they too were expecting Christ to take the literal throne of David. Let's read:

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? 7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

However, with the new revelation that Jesus Christ came to establish a spiritual kingdom of righteousness, many of the Jews who had previously denied His divinity, now believed, and were baptized, and according to the scriptures they were grafted back in again to the parent stock, for anyone who believes in Christ, is welcomed in The Beloved. As a matter of fact, the book of Acts records the glorious truth, that many of the priests were actually converted to Christianity, and were found to be obedient unto the faith, once the issues concerning Christ had been cleared up in their minds, through the preaching of the disciples. Let's read:

Acts 6:7 And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith. 8 And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.

In like manner will all those Jews who now turn to Christ be saved in God's kingdom, for the big sticking point in modern Christendom pertaining to the God-ordained day of rest, is not an issue for the Jewish people, and therefore, whenever, and if ever they were to cross the hurdle of Christ being the Messiah, then they will certainly be grafted back in again, for the promises of God are to all members of the human family, once we believe through faith In Christ.

We therefore end with a passage of scripture which confirms this sacred truth, and it is the will of God that tangible efforts be now made towards that end. Let's read:

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

May The Lord add His blessing to the study of His word. God bless!
