Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
The attempt to change the God-given times of worship and the law of ten commandments have been bade and now sit squarely in the minds of most contemporary Christians. One of the attempted changes has to do with the worship of graven images which the Lord expressly forbids, a practice that has now been firmly established in the largest existing Christian denomination. Then there is the split of the last commandment into two parts, in order to recoup the original figure of ten. Again, there is vagueness concerning the fourth which commands us to remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. This fourth commandments also stipulates which day of the seven is the Sabbath, so that there may be no misunderstanding of what God has plainly stated.
The "man of sin" as mentioned in the book of Daniel, and also in second Thessalonians, has attempted to usurp the prerogatives of God by undoing in the minds of millions, what God has so painstakingly given and preserved for our benefit. Sunday worship, which comes to us directly from paganism and the worship of the sun god Ra, stands at the opposite end of the weekly cycle, since it is the first day of the week, whereas the Sabbath is the seventh. And many sincere and honest-hearted people are following on blindly, being led by tradition instead of having their feet firmly planted on the word of God alone. It's for this reason that Jesus declares any institution of worship that does not bear the signet of heaven to be vanity, and should be avoided at all costs. Let's read:
Mark 7:6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. 7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men .... "and many other such like things ye do. 9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.
As a general rule of thumb, any institution of religion that speaks against the Most High God, or attempts to stand in His place by ordering services and times of worship He did not ordain, is treading on dangerous ground, and therefore the urgent call is given to Christians to separate themselves from any such assemblies, before the plagues are poured out, because anyone found participating in, or supporting any false form of religion for any reason, will be identified with the man of sin, and will certainly suffer the same fate as he. Let's read:
Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. 11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.
This judgment that will be meted out to the beast and its followers is what The Lord Jesus is urgently trying to get millions of people to avoid, by obeying all of His commandments and not becoming ensnared with those spurious changes that have been made to His law. We therefore end with an appeal to all believers everywhere to search the word of God for ourselves, and we will find that there has been no change whatsoever made to the ten commandments, which are to endure for eternity. Let's read:
Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.
May God add His blessing to the study and practice of His every word, for absolutely nothing has been changed. God bless!
