1st Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith".
This passage of scripture teaches us to avoid empty arguments pertaining to false science, which do not edify anyone, but rather lead to infidelity and skepticism about God and His word. True science will always be in harmony with the scriptural record, whilst false science seeks in vain to dispute the existence of God and the accuracy of His sacred word. The theory of evolution stands front and center of the futile efforts to remove God from His creation, and for all intents and purposes it remains just a theory, with no scriptural or solid scientific foundation whatsoever.
The Bible teaches us that the earth is just about six thousand years old, according to the account given in Genesis, and the tabulation of the years of life of those who first lived upon the earth, beginning with Adam and continuing down to our day, gives us an idea of the age of our planet. The first and only week of creation saw man being brought into existence on the sixth day and then the Bible tells us how long that man lived, and his posterity after him, even to many years after the flood. Let's read:
This is the book of the generations of Adam" ... 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. 6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: 7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. Etc, etc.
And then the calculations continue on after the flood, taking into consideration the members of Noah's family who lived before and after the flood. The ages of Shem, Ham, and Japheth are important to the chronological calculation of the age of the earth, during and after their generations, and the historical data thus given with great specificity, then gives congruence to the sacred narrative pertaining to age of the world. Let's read:
Genesis 7:6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark.
Genesis 10:1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. 32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood.
Genesis 11:10 These are the generations of Shem: Shem was an hundred years old, and begat Arphaxad two years after the flood: 11 And Shem lived after he begat Arphaxad five hundred years, and begat sons and daughters. Etc, etc.
And the golden thread continues through to Abraham and his offspring, all the way to the exodus and beyond, even down to the A.D period which includes our present day. Let's read:
Genesis 11:24 And Nahor lived nine and twenty years, and begat Terah: 26 And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran. 27 Now these are the generations of Terah: Terah begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran; and Haran begat Lot.
Matthew 1:17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
It becomes very obvious that the age of our planet cannot be millions of years old as is claimed by science, archaeology, and evolution, for if in the A.D time period we only have two thousand plus years, and from Abraham to Christ we only have forty two generations, then it is impossible for the claims of evolution and modern science pertaining to the age of this earth to be true, and because of this, the sacred record then calls into dispute the flawed science of radioactive carbon dating, the means whereby the age of fossils are determined. For example, there are fossils that have been unearthed by archaeologists, and after testing using the carbon 14 method, it was determined that some of them are as old as fifty to sixty thousand years.
Any science, or carbon 14 test which comes up with a figure greater than six thousand years for any fossils found in the earth is fundamentally flawed, for the results conflict with what the sacred record plainly states, and it will soon be disclosed that what is currently being taught in our schools is a flawed science, with several loop holes that accommodate a myriad of theories and suppositions that have no foundation in scripture whatsoever.
Furthermore, the theory of evolution dispenses with the facts of creation, and thereby eliminates God from the picture entirely, hence the reason why the knowledge of God as it exists in our day is at its lowest ebb, and as we become more entrenched in these man-made theories and false assumptions, a period of great spiritual darkness will finally engulf the entire planet, except for those who believe in the living God. Let's read:
Isaiah 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
One day soon, The God of heaven will take matters into His own hands, and all those who insist on removing Him from His creation by disseminating the theory of evolution, will have to answer with shamefacedness for the unbelief and skepticism that has overspread the earth like a plague. The Bible teaches us that God is not mocked, and though He bears long with the perversity and rebellion of man, yet there will come a time when He will set the record straight, by exposing to the world the flawed theories and suppositions that were used to deliberately lead millions of people astray. We therefore end with a passage of scripture which confirms this sacred truth, and it is the will of God that we turn to Him with all of our hearts while probation still lingers, and not lift ourselves up against the knowledge of The Most High, to our eternal ruin. Let's read:
Psalms 50:1 The mighty God, even the Lord, hath spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof. 3 Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. 4 He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. 5 Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. 6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself.
He that hath ears to hear, let him hear what The Spirit says to the churches. God bless!
