Evolution Versus Creation. Sabbath afternoon 04/17/2021

Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

7 Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The theory of evolution began gaining traction just around the same time that the first angel’s message began to sound in the eighteenth century, which is to point the inhabitants of the earth to worship God in His capacity as Creator. At that time, Darwin was chosen as the primary human vector, to spread the theory and its suppositions even though it had been in existence before Darwin.

It was a deliberate and systematic effort by the enemy of God and man to counter the truth about creation, and since that time, many scientists have studied and utterly dismantled, both the big bang theory and evolution yet they continue to be taught in the most prominent universities, and schools of higher learning around the world.

As the first angel’s message began to sound in the 18th century, it would draw the attention of persons to the great facts of creation, and thus, the Sabbath, which is a celebration of God’s creative power, was to be observed in commemoration of what God has done through creation, and continues to do through redemption.

Thus, the atheistic concepts which had found fertile ground in persons for centuries, began to take deep root in Darwin’s mind, and his so-called discoveries and his subsequent theories represent the counter- narrative to what is plainly stated in the scriptures, concerning the origin of species, and the creation of our world.

However, when the core principles of evolutionary theories are observed, it would be discovered that they did not originate with Darwin. Instead, they’re the culmination of centuries of rebellion and hatred against The Most-High, by the most-low.

Some of the core principles that evolution espouses clearly exposes the real author behind the theories, and undoubtedly demonstrate the reasons why the embrace of that school of thought would ultimately mean ruin for the human family.

For instance, one tenet of Darwin's theory supposes that more offspring are born than can survive, and that only the survivors of competition for resources will reproduce. Furthermore, Darwin states that the variations in species ultimately give some members the advantage in their competition to survive, and thus reproduce, and that those advantageous traits are passed on to the next generation.

There are several important points about evolution for us to note, and as we observe the great contrast in creation, we hope that our minds will forever be freed from that delusion which has taken the world captive, for the most part. The following are a few observations coming from The Holy Ghost.

[1] Evolution has inherent selfishness at its core, for it pits persons and species against each other in the mad rush to survive.

The principle of survival of the fittest will ultimately mean that some persons would get crushed in the process, and whereas all individuals are on a level playing field at the foot of the cross, evolutionists state that the less fortunate won’t stand a chance in the battle to survive.

From this principle of survival of the fittest, springs the principle of competition which is what drives all major league sports. The thinking that folks have to beat someone else in order to be the best is entirely contrary to Biblical principles, and anything that is contrary to scripture, is by default, antichrist in its nature, to a greater or lesser degree.

In the Bible, all human beings get a chance to win, and all will receive the prize, if the stated conditions are met. The strongest, the biggest, the richest, the baddest, and the best, are never allowed to bully, or buy their way into God’s kingdom, at the expense of the weaker and, less fortunate, as is too often the case in Darwinian modes of thought.

An insatiable desire for the highest place is what led satan to attempt an overthrow of God’s established order in heaven, and even though he turned out not to be the fittest in that episode, that same mindset has pervaded the human family for the most part. In the mad rush to survive, some will inevitably get hurt, and alienation, discord and strife would be the ultimate result.

Survival of the fittest led us into the cold war where nations scrambled to produce and possess the most dangerous nuclear weapons. As the infamous Cuba missile crisis unfolded in the 1960’s, the two nations came to view the other as an existential threat, and as the showdown gained momentum the concept of survival of the fittest brought us to the brink of war.

But what we are yet to discover is that when folks adopt the survival of the fittest in war, there are no real winners, for the desire to conquer often does more harm to the conqueror than the conquered. That is why we now find it necessary to withdraw from Afghanistan because with thousands of deaths and being more than two trillion dollars in the hole, we do not have any real gains to show for the effort made.

The desire for the best and highest place is actually an outgrowth from survival of the fittest, and even with the twelve disciples, the same principle led the mother of James and John to ask Jesus for the best positions in the kingdom and were it not for Christ’s intervention there could have been a confrontation, a Cuban missile crisis of sorts, on a miniature scale. Let’s read:

Matthew 20:20 Then came to him the mother of Zebedee’s children with her sons, worshipping him, and desiring a certain thing of him.

21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.

24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.

25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;

27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

In this instance, Christ sought to establish service as the core operating principle of His kingdom, which is diametrically opposed to evolution. In Darwin’s world persons view others as obstacles, or stepping stones, in their mad rush to survive, that is why the other ten disciples became angry. Thus it is that the source of most discord in our world comes from the principle of survival of the fittest.

Many of our activities and purposes, as humans are currently driven by evolutionary principles. From capitalism, to the Superbowl, and from wrestling to boxing, and all major league sports, all of them have at their core, to a lesser or greater degree, the same principle of survival of the fittest.

From the philosophy of survival of the fittest comes outgrowths such as the last man standing, we beat any advertised price, shark tank, inequity in justice systems, gentrification, higher insurance rates for the lower income neighborhoods, hoarding, bidding wars, and quid pro quo, caste systems, and the list goes on and on.

Thus, the advancement of oneself above others and at the expense of others becomes the driving force in whatever is done in most cases. And in Darwinian schools of thought, where the survival of the fittest is the core operating principle, the big fish desire to eat up the smaller fish, superior races emerge, and the ultimate enslavement of any who are deemed inferior becomes inevitable.

When one race is treated with disdain and another is treated with respect, or where one is granted an advantage or favor that is withheld from others, for no other reason than skin color, there you have the same Darwinian principles of survival of the fittest, which continue to spawn deadly tentacles in every nook and cranny of our society.

Hostile takeover bids by large companies are also based on survival of the fittest. Major corporations often flex their financial muscles and scoop up small companies that may lack the resources to thrive in a fiercely competitive environment. Thus, long before Darwin came on the scene, God found it necessary to address the under-girding principle of survival of the fittest.

He gave us laws, and instructions that were meant to prevent persons from thinking of themselves as being superior to others, and in several passages in the Bible God instructs us to track a different course than that of survival of the fittest. Let’s read:

Exodus 22:21 Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Exodus 23:6 Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.

8 And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blinds the wise, and perverts the words of the righteous.

Leviticus 19:14 Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the Lord.

15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment. thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, is Lord of heaven and earth.

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth.

Then Christ sums it up in a brief statement that we would do well to consider. Let’s read:

Matthew 19:30 But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.

[2] As it pertains to the beginning of life, and the origin of species the big bang theory, has no intelligence or planning in it, for it is commonly believed and taught in schools that the world came about by an explosion.

Therefore, when intelligence is excluded from the origin of species it becomes impossible to have any planning, and without a plan you cannot have order purpose, or hope. Furthermore, without intelligence you cannot have compassion, because love must of necessity have a level of intelligence for it to exist.

Hence the reason why the godless, the unbeliever, and the skeptic have an entirely different view of the world, because, as persons are taught in schools and universities, we all came about by an accident. This in itself is one of the main drivers of fear, and hopelessness in our world, because if we came by accident, who knows, we might go by an accident, a pretty scary concept.

In contrast, the Bible teaches us that our world was created by The God who cares. When considered, His creative works show great planning, a depth of thought, purpose, and compassion. That is why the evolutionist and the believer in Christ would always have a different outlook on life because intelligence is not an afterthought in creation, as it is in the theory of evolution. Let’s read:

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

Psalms 104:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul. O Lord my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honor and majesty.

2 Who covers thyself with light as with a garment: who stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

3 Who lays the beams of his chambers in the waters: who makes the clouds his chariot: who walketh upon the wings of the wind.

4 Who makes his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire.

5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed forever.

6 Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

7 At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.

8 They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.

9 Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

10 He sends the springs into the valleys, which run among the hills.

11 They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst.

12 By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches.

13 He waters the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

14 He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man: that he may bring forth food out of the earth.

16 The trees of the Lord are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted.

17 Where the birds make their nests: as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats; and the rocks for the conies.

19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.

20 Thou makest darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

21 The young lions roar after their prey and seek their meat from God.

22 The sun arises, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens.

23 Man goes forth unto his work and to his labor until the evening.

24 O Lord, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.

25 So is this great and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.

26 There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

27 These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.

28 That thou givest them they gather: thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

Psalms 19: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shews his handywork.

2 Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shews knowledge.

3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.

4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoices as a strong man to run a race.

6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.

These passages all bring the question of purpose into sharp focus, for any reasonable person must ask the question: For what purpose was all of this work, this activity, and planning done.

If one were to see his or her neighbor buying tons of materials from Home Depot, and many workmen bustling about with tools, and constructing a host of different things, the question would be, what is the purpose of all this construction, and what is that neighbor trying to accomplish. The same is true of all the many things God has created. The question is: what was His ultimate purpose in doing so? Let’s read:

Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

Evolution has no purpose whatsoever, for as science supposes, man’s origins start off with an unplanned, unexplained explosion, and things come together by proxy, and somehow morph into being intelligent. It is both the craziest, and the scariest theory to have ever existed, as the Bible clearly states.

Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

2 The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Isaiah 40: 25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One.

26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one fails.

[3] Sadly, Darwinian theories have begun to invade the minds of the remnant, so that many of us have come to think of the age of this world in terms of millions of years, instead of in thousands, as the Bible clearly teaches.

If the Bible teaches six thousand, and the prophet of God for our day says six thousand, then if we refuse the veracity of the sacred statements, then we have been invaded by Darwin. The chronological order of persons in Genesis chapter 5 and 11, together with the 2300-year prophecy, when compiled and added to the genealogies given by Matthew and Luke, can never come even close to a million.

The world was not in existence for millions of years, before God brought order out of chaos. He brought order out of chaos on the first day of the week, the very same day in which the creation of the world took place. Anything that suggests otherwise would destroy the very reason why the commandment on the Sabbath was given. Let’s read:

Exodus 20: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day and hallowed it.

In closing, we must reiterate again, that the theory of evolution and the core principle of survival of the fittest are fundamentally flawed, for they state that a person’s survival is tethered to their fitness. There are some of us listening today who may not be fit.

There was a time when Arnold Scwharzenegger was the fittest in his class, but now he is recovering from multiple surgeries. Once upon a time, Tiger Woods was the fittest in golf, but now, he too is facing the daunting reality that he won’t always be the fittest.

The same holds true for Alexander the great, who conquered many nations and Nebuchadnezzar who ruled Babylon, and then Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome and yes, The United States. Those individuals and nations of former years were the “Fittest” in their class in their day, but they did not remain the fittest, nor will we always remain the fittest.

God is now offering survival on a permanent basis through Christ, for His work for the human family is both creative and redemptive in nature. Thus, any person who may not be fit today could still survive through Christ.

One may not be the best in his or class, persons may not be the strongest, the most talented, the richest or the brightest, yet, in Christ alone there is to be found hope and survival, not merely for the here and now, but most importantly, for eternity.

We beseech you therefore, by the mercies of God, to choose Christ over Darwin for when the dust has finally settled, it will be discovered that it’s not the fittest, but the meekest that will inherit the earth. Let’s read:

Psalms 37:1 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

God Bless!
