Throughout history, various women have played important roles in the battle between good and evil and now as we stand on the brink of eternity, we should consider what the word of God has to say about the role of the woman, as it pertains to the fulfilment of prophecy. From Eden to eternity, from Eve, right down to our present day, women have had major roles, and have been used figuratively to represent the true church of Christ, being identified with a pure, chaste woman, and with a prostitute woman representing the apostate churches. This fact must be understood first, before we unravel the various prophecies pointing to the climax of earth’s history.
However, there are some undeniable facts which must be taken into consideration, especially when we observe that history often repeats itself. Woman played a major role at the beginning of this earth’s history, both in the spiritual and literal sense, and a woman will play a major role at the close of earth’s history, at least in the spiritual sense. A woman took the lead in the garden of Eden, and thus it is quite possible that a woman will also take the lead as the history of earth winds down to a close.
It’s important for us to consider that the serpent never spoke to, or through Adam at the beginning, because the entire conversation pertaining to the forbidden tree, initially took place between Eve and satan alone. Let’s read:
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? 2 And the woman said unto the serpent, we may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. 4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
After sin had entered our world, God appeared to Adam and Eve, and after questioning them about what had transpired, He then made the very first prophecy in the Bible, which included a woman, both in the physical and spiritual sense. The enmity between satan and the woman, which was to be placed by God, referred primarily to the alienation between the church and the adversary, but in the most literal sense, a real woman was scheduled to be involved in the birth of the Messiah, who would bruise the head of the serpent. Thus, the two prong method of interpreting prophecy is the method by which both the spiritual, and physical counterparts of prophecy are investigated, wherever applicable. Let’s read:
Genesis 3:14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, because thou hast done this, thou art cursed” …
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;
4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;
5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;
6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;
7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;
16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.
17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Thus it was, that from the time of the first prophecy in Eden forward, the church of Christ, with all of His followers would be represented as a woman, and warfare would be waged relentlessly against them by the adversary of souls. Again, the two-pronged method of interpretation is used in the prophecy describing the birth of Christ. As Balaam prophesied concerning Jesus, He makes mention of a “Star” that would arise out of Jacob. The Star that is being referred to in the spiritual sense is Christ, but at His birth, a literal star comprising a company of shining angels was seen in the starry heavens, and thus, we observe once more, the convergence of both the literal and spiritual aspects of prophecy. Let’s read:
Numbers 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
Matthew 2:1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
As was stated before, a woman in prophecy is used to represent the church of God upon the earth, with a chaste woman portraying the church when she is faithful to God, and with a harlot woman typifying the church in its apostate form. Let’s read:
Jeremiah 6:2 I have likened the daughter of Zion to a comely and delicate woman.
3 The shepherds with their flocks shall come unto her; they shall pitch their tents against her round about; they shall feed everyone in his place.
Ezekiel 16:1 Again the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,
15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by”…..
Hosea 1:2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.
Revelation 12:1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
But then in Revelation chapter 17, we observe that a woman is riding on a scarlet colored beast, having a cup filled with all the abominations of the earth, and since a prostitute in prophecy represents the church in apostate form, then it means that the beast which is being ridden is being controlled by a church deep in apostasy, for wherever we have a horse and its rider, the one in the saddle retains the control, and never ever the horse. Let’s read:
Revelation 17:1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:
2 With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet colored beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet color, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:
5 And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth.
In this vision, the woman is observed to be sitting on a beast, and upon many waters. She is also seen to have daughters, for the designation of mother only applies to women who have children. This fact then tells us with certainty that her daughters must of necessity carry many prominent features of her spiritual genetic code, and her DNA, and because of this, there are important questions which demand answers, if we are to correctly understand the fine details of what John is being shown.
Question: What is being represented by the beast, and the waters over which the woman has sway?
Answer: According to the Bible, the beast and the waters represent nations, and the political powers of earth, together with all the citizenry and peoples under their jurisdiction. Thus, the woman who is seated atop the beast is an apostate church which is running the show, as far as the current agenda and decisions of nations and politicians go. We saw a clear demonstration of this vision when the current pontiff addressed the highest governing bodies in the nation, even the joint session of congress, and who also spoke for the very first time in history to the governing body of the united nations, laying out in great detail the agenda for nations and politicians under its sway to follow. Let’s read:
Revelation 17:7 And the angel said unto me, wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.
15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.
Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.
3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.
7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.
16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.
23 Thus he said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

[Excerpts] “All of us are quite aware of, and deeply worried by, the disturbing social and political situation of the world today. Our world is increasingly a place of violent conflict, hatred and brutal atrocities, committed even in the name of God and of religion. We know that no religion is immune from forms of individual delusion or ideological extremism.
This means that we must be especially attentive to every type of fundamentalism, whether religious or of any other kind. But there is another temptation which we must especially guard against: the simplistic reductionism which sees only good or evil; or, if you will, the righteous and sinners.
Our world is facing a refugee crisis of a magnitude not seen since the Second World War. This presents us with great challenges and many hard decisions. On this continent, too, thousands of persons are led to travel north in search of a better life for themselves and for their loved ones, in search of greater opportunities.
The Golden Rule also reminds us of our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development. This conviction has led me, from the beginning of my ministry, to advocate at different levels for the global abolition of the death penalty. I am convinced that this way is the best, since every life is sacred, every human person is endowed with an inalienable dignity, and society can only benefit from the rehabilitation of those convicted of crimes” …..
Therefore, there are only two more questions to be answered as it pertains to the woman riding atop the beast. [1] Does the two-pronged method of interpretation apply in this case, and if so [2] Will we see a literal, physical woman in the driver’s seat in the very near future?
For answers, we turn to the word of God, because if there is to be a literal, physical counterpart of the woman atop the beast, then she would have to be in harmony with the apostate church’s agenda. Let’s read:
Luke 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Those words “As it was in the days of Lot” should cause us to observe how it was in the days of Lot, for according to the words of Christ, history is going to be repeated. Let’s read:
Genesis 19:1 And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them”…
2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.
3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
4 But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them.
6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
7 And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
9 And they said, Stand back. And they said again, this one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge; now will we deal worse with thee, than with them.
Aboard the Papal Plane (CNN) Pope Francis said Sunday that Christians owe apologies to gays and others who have been offended or exploited by the church, remarks that some Catholics hailed as a breakthrough in the church's tone toward homosexuality.
“If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?” Francis told reporters, speaking in Italian but using the English word “gay.”
Since the activities of the days of Sodom are to be duplicated and increased exponentially towards the end of earth’s history, then it follows logically, that both the spiritual and physical counterparts of the woman riding the beast, must be on the same page as it pertains to gay marriage, and LGBT issues. So let’s see if there is alignment on these issues.

Mark 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
